Mitsui Surface Grinder Rebuilding
Is your Mitsui, Okamoto, Harig, or Boyar-Schultz having problems producing a quality finish? It could just be a problem with your spindle or ways. Or it just may be time to completely rebuild your surface grinder(s).

We have rebuilt 1,202 surface grinders to date. In the mid 70's and through the 80's, we primarily rebuilt Boyar-Schultz and Harig surface grinders. In the mid 90's until now, it has been Mitsui, Okamoto, Harig, KO Lee, and Boyar-Schultz surface grinders to just name a few. Needless to say, we do have the experience to return your surface grinders to their original condition and/or add a few accessories to update your equipment.

Our rebuild process:
  • Dismantle, clean, and inspect machine tool
  • All components are available for customer's inspection
  • Scrape, flake, and fit all quoted way surfaces to full bearing, assuring longer life of all necessary components
  • Regrind ball ways
  • New ball bearings
  • Replace crossfeed screw & nut assembly
  • Rebuild spindle
  • Inspect electrical system
  • Polish all bright work
  • Paint
  • Inspect oil system
  • Assemble and realign to original tolerance
  • Machine guaranteed for a period of 1 Year, under normal use and proper maintenance
